Trinity County Approves THOWs

We’re excited to share that Trinity County has officially approved movable tiny homes to be used as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)!

According to the Trinity Journal, the county supervisors unanimously voted to support this ordinance change, which brings Trinity in line with many other California counties embracing tiny home living. While the county is still finalizing the paperwork, the approval is official—and that’s what matters most!

This is a huge step forward for residents looking for more flexible, affordable housing options—whether you're planning for multigenerational living, a rental opportunity, or just want a smaller footprint in a beautiful setting.

At Forever Tiny Homes, we’ve seen firsthand how transformative a well-designed movable tiny home can be. We’re here to support Trinity County residents as they explore their options and begin building their dream ADUs.
